Once predominantly a rustic community, Greenwood Village has become a vibrant balance of metropolitan and suburban neighborhoods, incorporating industrial parks and first-class community groups. Its residents are an amalgam of families, corporate managers, and business professionals. Greenwood Village´s residents are able to enjoy the best that life has to offer against a scenery that is not only unbelievably beautiful but also carefully planned and executed. There are many opportunities to create lasting memories by visiting any of Greenwood Village´s many recreational locations. There is fun to be had by everyone all year round, whether you are a lover of the outdoors or of culture, The Village helps create experiences that enables to the community to come together as one and build strong relationships that in turn builds a strong sense of community. The most notable community building event is Greenwood Village Day. Happening yearly on the last Saturday of July, this is family-oriented affair encourages families of Greenwood Village to discover over 20 interactive art activities, a combination of games for all ages, as well as live concerts. The day concludes with an amazing show of fireworks.
Art enthusiasts are encouraged to visit The Curtis Arts & Humanities Center, Greenwood Village´s premier arts epicenter, established in 1992. Previously a refurbished 1914 schoolhouse, its new purpose is to preserve and enhance Greenwood Village´s historic architecture and currently serves as a visual declaration of that belief.
If you enjoy hiking, High Line Canal is a trail that should not be missed. Greenwood Village has a 40-mile network of walking and hiking trails meandering through its neighborhoods. High Line Canal is premier regional trail that measures over five miles and hikers can enjoy the beauty of nature the trail provides.
